Smoked Cheese on Traeger



Learn how to infuse rich smoky flavor into your favorite cheeses with this Traeger smoker recipe. Perfect for snacks or charcuterie boards.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs cheese blocks cheddar, gouda, or your choice
  • 1 cup wood chips hickory or applewood
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions:

Set the Traeger smoker's temperature to 225F

After soaking wood chips in water for half an hour, remove them

To keep cheese blocks from sticking, coat them with olive oil

Fill the pellet hopper of the Traeger smoker with wood chips

Place cheese blocks onto the grates of the smoker

Keep cheese at a constant temperature while smoking it for sixty minutes

Halfway through, rotate the cheese to ensure even smoking

From the Traeger, remove the smoked cheese and allow it to cool

Before serving, the smoked cheese should be chilled for at least two hours
